Deep Tissue Massage
Gelous Spa is proud to offer deep tissue massage therapy for muscle rehabilitation relaxation and stress relief in our Calgary spa.
Using a firm, deep pressure we use slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles) to help with chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back.
Prepare to be stretched, kneaded and rolled out as we break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle “knots” or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in your body that can reduce circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.
Complimentary cupping, bamboo, hot stones, aromatherapy and hot towels are also included. Possible side effects after this type of massage is tenderness or stiffness for 1 to 2 days after treatment.
